Where does all the time get to? Can anyone tell me just how much faster this life is going to go? Everyone always told me life speeds up as you get older. I just didn't think you'd be able to feel the breeze.
God doesn't exist in time. He exists completely and totally outside the boundaries of time and space. Everything in time and space (including time and space) exists within the reality who is God. This is a big thought, and not one I'll attempt to pursue here on a blog when time is of the essence. It's just real interesting to juxtapose our time consciousness and the reality of God existing outside of that. Makes one wonder just what is "really" real. Time is real in the sense that we all agree that it exists and goes by in measurable increments. I'm not trying to belittle our everyday, brush your teeth, make your bed, feed your babies, go to sleep reality. It just helps me to think that this "reality" exists within the framework of a much larger and more "real" construct.
Our time will pass away. This life will pass away. At the same time, the redemptive work of God through Christ is on the move in the world around us, showing us glimpses of God's reality and convincing us that; somehow and in some way, the kingdom and reality of God is at hand. You might not be able to see it with your eyes or time it with your watch, but it's there. A reality that is not bound by our rules (what is real neo?), an enlightened existence where slavery to the temporary, to sin, to that which does not last, has been conquered.
How do we experience this? Simply, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. He is the door (the red pill). Sadly, not all of us who profess the name of Christ have seen how deep the rabbit hole goes. Even worse, others use a form of spirituality to hide from the overwhelming and compelling truth that is unchanging and unimaginable in scope. Until we are liberated by Christ, we are slaves to an evil that is older than time. We are batteries that help power the machine of sin that marches on in our genes from generation to generation, telling us what to think, how to act, even telling us who we are.
If you are disappointed about my bringing Jesus into this, you have not had an experience with Him. He is the embodiment of all truth, love, justice, mercy, hope... He is humanity united with divinity. Through him, we have hope of recovering our destiny, our future, our family.
You. Yes you. He knows about you. He knew you before you were born into this crazy experience called life. He put you together. You were born out of his knowledge of you. It's time to wake up. This road you're on, you know were it leads... You've been down there. You don't want to go any further. He's found you. God has found you. It might be a little uncomfortable. It might feel a little weird... Trust him. He knows more than you could ever imagine.

My brother, that collar makes your head look big! Or is it that your huge melon makes the collar look tiny? Hmmmm. I'll need to think about that one.
